Cirk La Putyka  is a Czech ensemble dedicated professionally to the contemporary Circus trying to transcend the lines between acrobatics, contemporary dance, puppetry, concert and sport and striving to create its own specific theatre poetics and find a perspective on the genre as a whole. La Putyka will present at Israel Festival in Jerusalem two of its most popular signature shows:  La Putyka and Slapstick Sonata.

For two consecutive days, the Zion Square will become an outdoor arena of exhilarating and colorful activity under the auspices of one of the most interesting ensembles in the world of contemporary circus. An invitation to something extraordinary – enter into a dream world with laws of gravity entirely its own.

Wednesday, June 7 at 5pm / Thursday, June 8 at 5pm / Zion Square, Jerusalem

45 minutes, without intermission, free admission

Forceful and funny, powerful and poetic, La Putyka explores Czech pub culture through glazed eyes and beery breath... This energising, intensely vibrant spectacle fuses acrobatics, dance, theatre, puppets and live music into original contemporary circus that wins awards.

Wednesday, June 7 at 9pm / Thursday, June 8 at 9pm / Zion Square, Jerusalem /

A darkened warehouse in Prague. The night shift goes through the motions of another tedious overnight. But all is not what it seems. Slowly, this group of late night laborers breaks out of their mundane routine, shedding their drab existence for a vibrant and glorious explosion of color, humor, movement, silliness, and physical theater. Scratch the surface- who knows what we’ll find? See what happens overnight and join the thousands who have cheered as these characters find joy in the most unlikely of places.
