Czech films at the Doc Aviv Film festival in Tel Aviv
The festival will screen dozens of documentaries showing the best in Israeli and international filmmaking. The program includes the Israeli Competition, the International Competition, the Student Competition, Doco-Challenge and Young Doc. Also, special screenings and events will take place dealing with food culture, art, sport, music, the future of documentary filmmaking, and more. Following Czech documentary films will be screened:
Matchmaking Mayor / director: Erika Hníková
A mayor in Slovakia sets out to marry the 70 single men and women left in his village. When his attempts to offer prizes to those who marry fail, he decides to throw a huge ball.

Two women battle it out: one is the press consultant for mine owners, the other is a green activist fighting to preserve the miners' town and its beautiful castle, which will be erased off the face of the earth if the mining continues.

A 16-year-long portrait of Katka, who started taking drugs at 14, and who grows up in front of the camera. When she gets pregnant, a new hope arises that she will finally kick the habit.
