Never Sol in Beersheva

Continuation of cooperation between two female musicians Never Sol (CZ) and Flora (IL) that started last fall in Prague during Flora's residency in Petrohradska kolektiv. Now Never Sol is coming to Beersheva to present her work to local audience and to continue to work with her Israeli counterpart.

Never Sol is an alumna of the Jazz Academy of music in Prague, a place of her birth and current residence, and this clearly shows in her technique that complements her devotion to express fragile emotions. She lets you peek into the blackness that contains a clearly defined image but she doesn't let you fall into it. A strong connection to songwriting, intricate chord progressions, synths and voice are the cornerstones of her musical output.

The debut album Under Quiet (2013) resulted from her two-year collaboration with Jan P. Muchow (known from his electronic and shoegaze band Ecstasy of Saint Theresa). The album was well received in the Czech Republic and was nominated for several Czech awards. Never Sol participated at the Tokyo 2014 edition of Red Bull Music Academy and she also performs with Tomáš Dvorák's electro-acoustic project Floex. In 2015 she made music for the contemporary dance performance DIVOCINA by Jana Burkiewiczova.

Flora (stage name of Liron Meshulam) is a singer-songwriter, composer and producer. Her unique sound, is composed by looping vintage keyboards, live minimal beats, and the use of her own voice as an instrument, to create a tasty blend of female indie-pop. Flora released two albums, Happy today (2010) and Everything is Here (2014). Both got warm response from the audience and the media.

She Played her solo electronic shows all around the world and performed for example at CMJ Festival in New York, Natural High Five Festival in Tokio, Rainbow Island Festival in Seoul or Indie Negev in Israel. In March 2015 she opened the spring tour of Asaf Avidan. She was also  part of his musical group for two years, playing keyboard and singing. In fall 2017 she participated at the AIR residency program in Prague in Petrohradská kolektiv, where she worked on new songs, met with local artists and started cooperation with Never Sol. They had a mini tour together in the Czech Republic.
