The Firemen´s Ball

On a wintery day in a provincial town, the local firemen’s brigade organizes a ball in honor of its leader’s birthday. Yet their best-laid plans quickly go astray: ceiling decorations collapse; the lottery prizes are stolen; the female participants of a makeshift beauty contest lock themselves in the bathroom; and fire erupts in a nearby building, drawing the revelers out into the snow. With all this mayhem, the firemen’s committee is forced to exert power and restore order; its leadership skills, however, will not be up for the task.
